Help with 2002 Turn Signal Bulb Replacement

Did a quick search and I wasnt sure if it was the right information.
My co-worker has an 02 civic and needs to replace the turn signal bulb. Does he have to take the fender lining off or is there an easier way to get to the bulb? Any help is recomended... He said he couldnt get to it from the engine bay.
btw i havent looked at it yet, and he came to me looking for help. hes an older guy so please dont bust *****... i know it sounds like such a noob question but i just need the answer without any flaming please... thanks guys

As outlined in the owners manual... peel the fender liner back and stick your hand in there.
You'll likely also find turning the wheel in helpful, so you have room.

easiest way is just to remove the top portion of the bumper... enough to where you can unscrew the headlights and just take them out enough to get to the turn signals. took me 15 mins yesterday to change my turn signal and grill.
