Default exhaust leak at gasket. Repair options?

I took my car to a midas and they installed a new metal gasket at the muffler to midpipe connection and it still whistles and drips a little water. I would take it back to the same place to complain but it is a distance away. Can I take it to any with the receipt?
I've tried rebolting it and tightening it to no avail and it seems to be the right gasket. Is there anything else I can try? The dealer wanted to replace the entire midpipe for 400 bucks but I'm sure it's just this one leak at the connection.

Any suggestions? Using gasket sheets to make a new gasket to sandwich in, or using a liquid gasket in combination with the metal one? I have emissions inspection soon and pretty sure it won't pass with this.
