Default What is this part call???

Ok, bought a JDM ZC off a friends... but the engine is missing this part....


Just wondering what is it call. Where I can buy it used beside from junk yard. Will this part interchangable with all d16 vtec?? Thanks guys...

I don't know if it's interchangeable but I think the piece you're talking about is called the rocker arm assembly.

no, its called the Lost Motion Assembly, (LMA) for vtec, i would just buy it new from honda, i think its about $60, hondaautomotiveparts.com

LoL - that's just the name they put online.

Like the fuel sending unit is called the METER, UNIT-SEND or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure the proper term is "rocker arm asmbly" but yes, on websites you will find it as "lost motion assembly."

that is the lost motion assy it is not a rocker arm assy. It is used to keep the vtec rocker in contact with the cam when not engaged. # 5 in the diagram is the lost motion assy holder but you also will need #9 the lost motion assys @ 4 units. If the springs ware out in the lost motion assy they can cause a ticking sound like valves.
