LMA's ... what are they
on a previous post of mine a gentleman suggested that i might have some stuck lma's, what exactly do they do, how do i know if they are bad, and does anyone know a cost? thanks guys!!!
LMA = Lost Motion Assembly.
They are what the VTEC lobe of your camshaft "rides" on when not controlling the valves. The supress noise and vibration and are a little expensive when bought new from the dealer though i dont have an exact figure in front of me.

If you get the 1998+ Prelude LMAs they're about $8 a piece or $65 a set or so. The ITR one are 3 times that new.

and the prelude vtec ones will fit in a 2000 gsr? i guess i should have been more clear on my operation. i have a 2000 gsr with ctr cams. will be upgrading valvetrain and since i need new lma's, just wanted some info. should i go with prelude, gsr, itr or is it depending on my setup? maybe ill stick with gsr but any suggestions will help. i notice on the thread someone posted me it hasnt been touched since 2006, so any updated info or suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!
