WHATS THE BEST SINGLE DISK CLUTCH OUT THERE FOR 600+ WHP
Is there any single disk clutch out there that can handle 600-700 whp on 24.5" slicks.Reason asking is I dont have enough cash for a twin disk setup so is there any single disk that will hold the power (example..ACT,Exedy,clutchmasters etc).
I have the competition stage 5, 4 puck unsprung in my car right now...
I also didnt wanna go with the twin yet...
this clutch came highly recommended by alot of people to handle big power... but its still not a twin
im shootin for 5-600 whp this year...

Clutchs really aren't rated for hp, they are rated for torque. Either way I would say in the long run you would definatly benefit from shelling out the money for a twin disk. So to answer your question there are clutches that will hold that kind of power, but not for very long before they start slippin and pissin you off
Another thing to look at is the car going to see street driving?

competition clutch stage 5, 4 puck with the upgraded pressure plate. thats about as good as it gets for holding capacity....i wouldnt count on it holding 600whp on 24.5" slicks for very long if at all, but its your best bet.

Yeah that is about it out there imo. I have seen it hold 550whp and about 375 ft-lb torque

ACT XT-R6. It's a 6 puck unsprung disc.
It engages quickly off the floor and pretty abruptly and chatters a little bit.
The one we had on a 400whp Civic only lasted 10k to 15k miles with a lot of passes over three years. It was into the rivets when we replaced it last week.
