Okay, I've seen these around for years. I've searched and searched and I can't find anyone with this shifter. I was wondering what everyone else thinks about it. I was also wondering if this is even practical on a street car, or about the install. pro's and con's.
It's a decent shifter, but any buddy club shifters I have known were just the short shifter itself. I still use my stock shifter set up, however I really like the dual bend Skunk 2 short shifter. I am not a big fan of replacing the whole set up as opposed to just replacing the shifter itself with another that has a shorter throw. It's cheeper and I believe it works just as good, if not better.

I too have a skunk2 dual bend and ****. I love it. I was just curious really what this does and how it works and it's advantages and disadvantages.

Yea I hear ya. I guess when it comes to the shift set up... My moto has always been, "It's cheeper to get used to it". I have driven a EF hatch that had a B and M whole shift setup and it was actually really strange to drive and it took a considerable amount of effort to shift into another gear. However, I absolutly love the skunk 2 dual bend and its heavy shift ****.

pw jdm has applications for dc2's, eh, ej's, ep3's, rsx's, and so on.
This shifter has been around since before K series motors.

It appears to be for high power automatic transmissions - like 2 speed powerglides used in drag racing.
I could be wrong though.

You are
That's just a shifter box ... because the K's use cables instead of shift linkages, much like H22's and F'series.

The one for linkage-based shifters is just another short shifter ....

What do you mean? So what's the surrounding housing for on the bottom of the shifter?

It's a stock photo for K-series shifters. They just use that picture for everything. Here's the D/B series one:

now that I know the buddy clubs for 92-00 civics don't have that weird housing, I'd go with skunk2.
I have one, and i love it. It's the best shifter feel i've ever had.
