This would be the best. Grind the hole out on the drivers side. and run the charge pipe up the passenger side intake hole up to the throtle body

When I did my FMIC on my volvo, I used a universale aluminum piping kit from CXracing that I got on ebay for like $75. It came with 4-ply silicone couplers and stainless t-bolt clamps, and it came with enough bends that I was able to cut up the piping to make it fit without having to weld anything. It really wasn't that difficult, I just kind of eyeballed where it would fit and went from there.

up from the turbo, down through where the washer tank used to be, 90 into the cooler, out of the cooler, 90 back, 90 up through the hole where the air box was, then straight shot to the t/b.

way too much piping imo. just get a couple 90 degree coulers for either side of the intercooler if that will work, or just back door it on either side like so:

or you could do something like this:

judging by the initial pics, he doesnt have access to anything like you posted. thats why i suggested something simple that could be accomplished easily with mild steel ubends.

your first suggestion is missing more than 50% of the original core support.

but the 90 deg couplers wont work unless he plans on cutting out most of the core support. obviously the car is intended to be streetable.

he'll have to cut a 3" hole in a NON structural part on the rad support. it will work just fine like that.
