MPFI Question.
I have the IM off...I wired up everything at the ECU and hooked the plugs back to the ECU. I turned the key and I am getting no CEL at all. Is this normal? I had nothing hooked under the hood. I think maybe got a bad ECU, I don't know.
Also...I was looking at the fuel line from the filter....can I use my current fuel line or do I have to use the SI one?

Went out and looked again....on the SI IM...where the fuel line goes..there is a clear/white plastic screw cap thing that goes on.
After looking at it...in half darkness...I think it redirects the fuel to the correct location so I'm pretty sure I can use my DX fuel line now.
I may still be wrong....
Can anyone inform me on the ECU problem...does it take time to set it self up and that is why no light came on?
Thanks.

Haha...sorry..I'm confused myself so I doubt I can explain it to anyone else....
My question...is there a difference between fuel line that go to the IM from the fuel filter? From DX to SI?
My ECU did not come on after I hooked up the 3 plugs and turned the key on. I did have several plugs undone under the hood though. Was that the problem...or when you unhook an ECU does it take a bit for it to start to throw CELS.

You can use the dx fuel line. It is different than the si, but you can use it still. If you aren't getting a cel I'm going to take a guess and say you aren't getting power to the ecu. I have no proof, but it's just a hunch. Check you wiring.

Thanks for the info on the fuel line. I'm going to assume I unhooked something under the hood that made the loss of power to the ECU. I'll check again once I have everything all hooked up.
