Ok, so my car has been leaking oil for a while now, and I need to correct this asap. I haven't been able to pin-point the exact location, or reason, so I'm going to start from the easiest to check and move on from there.

My question is this, Where else can oil be leaking from?
Valve cover; Cam seals; Head; oil pan; oil filter; main seals; oil drain plug - I'm sure there are other places but I can't think of them.

The motor only has about 7k on it since it was rebuilt from the ground up. Block was machined, and the head was P & P, it has all new seals and a new oil pan gasket. The oil pan was torqued to spec - 9ft lbs. The Head shows no sign of oil leaking. I was going to change my PCV valve but haven't gotten to it yet.
Can a fouled PVC force oil through the oil pan gasket?
Another question, do you HondaBond your oil pan?

 

Helms says to hondabond 2pts on the oil pan from what i have seen in my manual. Where do you see oil when you pop the hood? Is the motor vtec? I had a vtec solenoid leak and it gave me the impression that oil was leaking from my dizzy, head, main seals. Fixed the solenoid and not one spot on the driveway yet. Still residue/dirt sprayed all over my undercarriage.

 

yeah, it's Vtec and i did have a bent solenoid. I fixed that one long time ago, but I still have a leak. I am 90% sure it's from my oil pan, but I have the new gasket and a newer oil pan. Can something be building pressure in my oil pan, forcing oil out past the gasket?
