Pretty much exactly what the title states, nobody seems to be clear on this in search fields.
Are OBD-I (Z6, B7, B8, Z1, ZC) trannies interchangeable w/ OBD-II (Y8, Y7, and Y5 blocks). Also, if they are interchangeable, are they exactly the same? Will the reverse light sensor and the VSS both plug right up? And will the mounts bolt right up, or are the trans mounts different?
If I have a Y7 motor/trans in a stock DX (orig motor) - could I swap a Z6 trans in there without modifications?
I figure the axles have to be different, but I don't know, somebody please straighten this out for me
