Default 2006 R1 Anniversary Edition

2006 Anniversary Edition R1 with 9,000 miles.

Perfect condition not a scratch. Never been dropped. New tires and all the basic mods; fender kit, lights, and exhaust, sliders.

How much is this bike worth?

What is the best guides in determining the value?

Im really considering buy but want to make sure that it is a Exellent deal.

Check nada, kbb, and cycle trader to try and get a comparison price to see what others that are similiar are selling for.

The LE has the forged wheels and ohlins. I think the aniv is just the yellow fairings.

Really? Thats what i thought too. How much would you pay for it?

More opinions Please. I'm not partial to any particular bike so I'm just trying to get a really good deal.

Not partial to any bike? Buy something way cheaper and have fun on it. R1s are beast, and you pay for the 1000ccs, not to mention the yellow fairings, and the insurance. I'd shop around and sit on a few different bikes before you buy.

sounds to me like you're a noob that's gonna get in way over your head and wreck a perfectly good r1 that another poser could destroy just as easily

Well, then its all academic.

Start looking at older bikes and be willing to wait. Summer time means inflated prices. Good deals come in fall when guys say "oh **** dawg, its raining now and I gots to pay for college." Start looking at 600s all the power you need and go for 4-7 grand (used) depending on the year.

heh, I like the anniversary scheme it's sad to see so many of the limited edition bikes get wrecked by inexperienced riders - repsol, yamaha, etc...

Well I agree with you there!

Thats why i started on a 600. i know thats not the preferred started bike but it worked. This is my second bike and now I'm considering moving up to a 1000.

Im not sure though, I might wait until the Fall.

Is that the general consensus, that prices fall in the winter. I thought that was a myth.

So i guess 8300 for a 50th Anniversary edition with9000 miles in perfect condition with new tires and neccesary mods is just a average deal.

Anybody?? I WANT the bike I just want to steal the ******.

Realistically a steal would be like... $6500-$7500 in the condition and mods you stated.

But If you got it over $8,300+ you may find a better deal elsewhere.

$8-$8,300 is a realistic fair deal.

Getting any gear along with it? Then it would be a better deal.

Thanks for the feedback.

No gear just a bike stand. I thought it was a decent deal but i want a better one.

Now i found a gsxr 600 07 with 400 miles. i want to try and get it for 6800. I think that would be a good deal, what are your thoughts.

Same thing.... That's an OKAY deal.

My personal choice would be the R1. Maybe i'm biased but whatever.

Now if you found a gixxer1k or an R1 for $6800 that's a great price!

But same concept as the R1; it's an OKAY price. Reasonable for sure.

But, not a steal.

1000 > 600 (personal opinion keep in mind)
