Default airfuel ration messup or wha

i have a faze a/f ration guage on my d16a6 and its a 1 wire, ive been told it will not give accurate readings unless u have a wideband o2 which i guess is 4 wire unless they make a 1 wire. but when idle it seems to read like its correct, but it does the opposite when i press the gas, it goes to lean, you would think think gas would make it go to rich but WTF, so it goes so lean, the guage goes off no red, just gone, then it will come back when i press the brake then the gas, its real odd. but if anyone has a clue to maybe help me on this, so i can get a semi accurate reading.

not to mention A/F ratio gauges are only useful with a wideband O2 sensor... otherwise you won't get an accurate reading anyways.

a narrowband 02 sensor is like an on/off switch. a narrowband tells you that you are either rich or lean, it does NOT tell you HOW rich or HOW lean. so if you have your stock 1 wire hooked up to your A/F guage.. you have succesfully made a pretty light show and nothing more. the guage is probably working just fine, its just not hooked up to a sensor that has any resolution. If you get a wideband 02 sensor, your guage will start working as intended.

i havent used "Faze" guages at all, so i cant comment on quality, but its not too hard to make a guage that displays sets of lights on .1 volt input increments..

also a 4 wire o2 isnt a wideband o2. a 5 wire o2 sensor is a wideband
