I'm in need of a 5-wire oygen sensor and would like to know where everyone else has been getting them from. I've seen them for as much as 500, and thats way to much for one.
My car can average 41 mpg if I stay out of the throttle and don't hot rod it, thats with a cel #41. The primary o2 sensor is suppose to affect gas mileage, but how much can I expect to gain and will it be enough to offset the cost of a new sensor?
Looking for a cheaper alternative to the honda dealer for the primary oxygen sensor.

I'm assuming you still have your VX tranny installed. You might be ok for a while not changing your o2 sensor out, but your gas mileage will fall the longer you drive. I found my OEM sensor on e-bay for $175. Bosch repacked the OEM NGK sensor and sells it for less. Thats how i got it for cheaper. Same exact sensor and harness clip.

I actually have a d16y8 (ex) block, exhaust and transmission with a d16y5 (hx) head, intake manifold and just recently installed the p2n ecu on it. The car had a p2p ecu running this setup. I'm positive that the cel #41 has been on for as long as the p2p ecu has been in it. I don't know how long that was as I bought the car in January and it had the cel light pulled, so the cel wouldn't eluminate.
As I stated before, the mileage is pretty good and is as good if not better then the previous owner said they would average for mileage. We drive a little more highway then they did.

Not sure if this will help. It's a 5 wire but the connector may be different.

We have bought one from a local VW dealer for $36.00 a few years back. As a side note, it's the same one a Audi A4 uses, Audi wants $250.00
