96 d16y7 engine issues, please advise...
radiator was busted a days ago(cracked). bought a new one. fixed.
check engine light came on two days later. got code read at autzone, got a temp sensor code. replaced water temperature sensor. reset light. ran fine for a day.
light came on again, got code read again, gave me misfiring codes.
checked wires and distributor. no loose wires or connections. reset after checking things. ran fine for the rest of the day.
today, check engine light is flashing and car is running rough, began to overheat just a tad but returned to normal.
im really confused and need help!!

first thought: head gasket. i hear coolant problems, missfire and running rough... that's what it sounds like. not sure about the sensor exactly. check to see if you are loosing coolant. also look in the cylinders for coolant in the morning after it sits over night. one more indicator, white smoke when it runs.
sucky problem to have. hope i'm wrong

i'll definately check to see if coolant level in radiator is low.
ill check it out tomorrow evening to see if cylinders have fluid.
and i actually noticed a bit of white smoke, as if it were cold outside and its warming up.
i hope it isnt but i hope it is, so ill fix it before it does any damage.
thanks alot.
if anyone else has any input, let it be heard....

You might have air bubbles in the system. Did you run the engine with the rad cap off until the bubbling stop?

well, i took it to autozone to get the codes read one more time. gave me cylinder #4 misfire and p1399 - engine speed sensor....
could that be whats causing all of these problems?
