maybe stupid question about knock sensor and smog on mini me
Ok so i am using a p28 ECU now but i need to use a EX OBD2 spec one soon.
Now with the knock senor i do not have on the block yet. If i say leave it off the block but plugged in will the CEL pop up? Im just going to go back to the OBD2 for smog reasons. im lazy and dont want to put it on the block =P unless i must.

i dont know if this is the same since i started out obd1 and stayed that way but when i did my mini me i just threw on the head, wired vtec and the o2 and called it a day...noting about a knock sensor and no CELS

with OBD2 ECUs knock sensor is required, and im stuck with a OBD2 =/ and CA smog is a **** thing.
