i have a 96ex and while braking i hear a patternized creak
friend guessed and said it might be abs

i do have eg struts on the rear with washers to make them fit right.
i installed them about a month ago and ive had this problem for 2 weeks.

The struts could be your creaky problem replace them with the correct struts and see if the creaky stops.

 

ill try messing with the washers i guess, trying to squeeze more in there
