i randomly hear a squealing sound at times when i take off in 1st or go in reverse it does not happen often but does occur sometimes when in motion for maybe 3 secs. It is not my ac powersteering or alternator belts because i knew what sound that made when those were worn out or loose it gets embarrassing when it happens in a parking alo full of people. im thinking it is clutch or tranny related?

 

Does it go away or get louder when you hit the brakes or are you positive it's comming from the engine bay?

 

i have the same problem its like when letting out the clutch it squeals but goes away and does it when shifting but not as loud i am thinking the teeth on the clutch are worn

do u have an upgraded clutch??? cause i know that the a c t unsprung clutches make a noise when taking off in first and when shifting sometimes
