solid cel
Is there anything other than a bad ECU that would cause me to have a solid cel after swapping a 93LS into my 90Si. I have tried 2 different ECU's checked and triple checked all of my wiring, fuses and anything else I can think of and I am still pulling solid code.
i had the same issue for some reason my ecu wasnt getting power i still haven figgured out why but if i take power going in to the main relay and jump it over to the fuel pump and ecu my car idles fine and no cel
maybe your main relay is bad check that?

I did a search and found that the solder becomes faulty and to fix the relay you have to de-solder the dry joints and re-solder them. I have done that, the relay clicks like normal but I am still getting a solid cel. good I dea but I dont think thats the culprit.
check the power going in to the ecu with a multi meter and see if any thing is there
or even better see if the light on the ecu flashes when the car is turned to the on position

I am running an obd1 ecu. when the ignition is in the on position it flashes like normal and when I use my jumper switch it is a solid cel.

I've tried to check for power to the ecu and I am not sure what kind of voltage I am looking for(I don't use a multimeter much). also how do I jump the main relay?
One question about this, should I be getting a solid CEL when I jump the service connector? If there's no code in the ECU, what is the CEL supposed to do? Be off? Be on?
Thanks!
Thanks!
