Default twin turbo s2000

The 2jz turbo system is one that I am very fond of. I like the fact that it has two turbos, one being smaller than the other and the fact that the small one spools up to give boost then when enough power is about, the small one turns off and the bigger one kicks in. I was wondering if this would be possible for an s2000. If yes, then what modifications would need to be made and what products would or should be used.

I dont think the smaller turbo turns off it becomes a restriction. Thats why they have single turbo upgrades.

P.S. PUT ON YOUR FLAME SUIT!!! lol

Your talking about a 2.0 4cy vs a 3.0 inline 6. Not to mention the fact Supra owners almost always upgrade to a single.

it could be done, but i think a properly sized single will perform better, unless you are talking huge c.i.d. then a big single will be reaching its back pressure limit. then you need 2.

My supra has A 2JZ and I'm planning on installing either a GT4202R or (GT3076R X 2).

If I had an S2K instead of my integra I would build and boost the S2K and be happy vs building an S2J. S2J is not a good setup. I'd rather 2JZ another toyota than wander off using a non Toyota chassis.

A single gt30r on a s2000 spools extremely quick - you wont have a lag problem and will still be able to put down over 400whp.

As far as I know, the OEM 2JZ system used two turbos that were the same size. It was sequential in that it worked the waste gates sequentially so that it only spooled one turbo at low RPM, then both at higher RPM (i.e. - it kept the WG open on the second turbo until the RPM was higher).

considering the turbo technology out on the market you will be fine with a single turbo on an s2000. I have used many different combination on my s2000 and each have been very responsive.

There was a twin turbo s2000 built some time ago and eventually there was limitiation reached on the power level. I think you need to ask yourself what are you using the car for and what kind of power are you looking for, times you want to run and most inportantly how much is in you pocket...

You'll get a better powerband with a correctly sized turbo then most of the superchargers out there. Why? because they are all centrifugal superchargers and make no boost until 6000rpms because the s2k motor spins so high they have to gear them WAY down so they dont over boost at high rpms.

Totally useless peaky powerbands. If i wasnt so lazy id post dyno plots of both but you can search yourself for that.
