He needs a 88-91 Civic/CRX distributor. Even the Si will work, but you have to repin the plug to work because the DX doesn't use two of the wires ( blue/yellow and blue/green) All the other stuff is the same.

hi there im kinda doing the same thing but what im doing is using a dx dizzy to put in a si because my si dizzy actin up,when i repin the plug, where do the blue/green blue/yellow wires go?is it possible that i just leave it unpplug?or i need to connect it to the dx dizzy??
ya cause you need to get a z6 dizzy to work on that head...if he had a y8 head that dizzy would be fine....although you still can use that dizzy but you have to oaky right that **** and only 2 bolts work....up to you

I am asssuming he is using the stock ECU (CRX/civic DX)
I am assuming the car is DPFI
If you are using a OBD0 DX ECU, only a OBD0 distributor will work. Forget about a Z6 or Y7 or Y8. none will work even if the bolt to the head.
He has to make the DX distributor he has now work with the Z6 head, that means cutting or slotting the holes on the distributor to make it fit.
