Default CALLING ALL GSR GURUS NEED HELP

I have a obd1 gsr b18c1

it has a issue in the morning, when I go to start it up, she will start. If I try to go somewhere it wants to bog like its not getting enough fuel or something. I can move it but it bucks til you get to 3 or 4grand and then takes off. What could this mean

I was thinking cause I searched maybe, Coolant temp sensor on the head, 02 sensor since I did have a non vtec EG I ordered rywire and they switched it to a 4 wire. it is also brand new 4 wire 02. I am throwing no codes, not overheating, timing is dead on, new oil pump, water pump, ...I am at a loss of words guys I am sick of it ...PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

It sounds like your gas may be bad. If the knock sensor intervenes, the power is horrible until about 4000 RPM. Are there any CELs?

Default SOmeone has to know how to fix this all of these honda guys and still no one has a clue

I have no cels. I am running 93 oct,

I have changed my fuel filter. I have pulled my fuel pump out and the white filter is really dirty alike black...could this be the problem.....

One of my buddies told me tonight to check the coolant for air pockets that would cause it.....but I would think that would make the car overheat with pockets in the cooling system.....

SOmeone has to know how to fix this all of these honda guys and still no one has a clue

only happens when the engine is cold? Or in open loop?

Would have nothing to do with your o2 sensor saying how the computer doesnt use it untill the car warms up and the o2 sensor can give a reliable reading.

Just out of curiousity, is your car automatic or standard?

How long has this problem been occuring? Sometimes stations have bad gas. Did the start of the problem coincide with any of the above changes?

Everyone seems to be thinking along the lines of fuel but maybe it's your intake? How dirty is your filter, it could be sufficating your motor. I had a short ram intake and it started to intermittently bog, maybe every other time. It was only from take off though, not bad when shifting.

Did you have the throttle body off recently? I'm asking because swapped TPS and MAP sensor wires can cause poor performance.

Thats what i was thinking exactly, due to teh fact that during open loop thats what the computer uses for its calculations

Your IAC might be sticking or broken. Maybe it can make the car idle, but when you add in throttle, it cant close off the port or adjust it in time...so you get a weird A/F ratio going on. This happened to my friend's B18C5 hatch when his IAC wasnt wired correctly.

i might check the fuel injectors to see if they are still good and not broken. Mine bogged with a broken fuel injector and replaced it with a obd1 civic injector and now its running great!

D series injectors are of a smaller cc than the B series....i'm almost positive.

ok,

it is standard of course.

I have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, checked map and tps, new dizzy, I am running a blox intake mani, I have bypassed the FITV under the t.b. cause I thought that might be the problem. Also I am running series t.b. non vtec, The injectors are not cracked, I am guessing cause I do not see any leaks. also I have a lightened flywheel, the clutch was used but no destroyed......any suggestions would be great

NO CODES, TIMING IS DEAD ON....

Thats a really stupid thing to say. Stick with the 93 and look deeper into the TPS and MAP sensor.

On my '97 GSR, the MAP wire order is yellow-green-red and the TPS wire order is green-red-yellow. Both plugs are identical (grey). (I'm looking down from the top on the passenger side where the wires in the plug are facing me.) With the harness mounted in the stock location, it would be difficult to switch the two due to harness length.
