what the hell is a pre muffler and where is it located. what does it do and is it bad to take it out? pictures would help

 

A premuffler is a system that has two mufflers in it, one at the end of the car that is visible and than one before that. All it does is make it quieter I would imagine. Probably just a resonator.

I don't think it would hurt to take it out and replace with straight pipe, but for all that time, just get a cat-back exhaust system with a nice resonator. I know without a resonator you get the bumble bee sound.

 

yep it is almost not worth while to just pull out the pre muffler, and replace it with a stright pipe. as said a good cat-back system would be the way to go.
