Does anyone know the difference between these 2 trannys and which one would be preffered in a teg?

it depends on you , are you planning drive daily stay with gsr tranny now if you goin to race every day and want good accelaration then go with b16 tranny.

 

What's your setup? What motor do you have and what are your plans?

 

my setup right now is a usdm 2001 gsr block and head. i have type-r pistons and all the internals in the head are type-r. i have the type-r flywheel, skunk2 intake manifold, im using a 95 engine harness, ecu, distributor, converting it to obd1. enlarged throttle body, and a straight pipe cat. i havent had any probs with my gsr tranny and it definately does the job but i, just wondering how it would be with the b16's shorter gears? sounds like it could be a plus

 

A B16 tranny would be perfect for your set-up. It should pick you up a couple tenths down the 1320. They do rev a little more on the highway but it's worth it if you like racing.
