Good afternoon. Yes, I am fully aware that Acura = Honda. However, my question lies within my Tire Rack invoice that I received in my box of KYB GR-2 OEM replacement shock/struts.
It says that the rears are: "Honda GR-2 Gas Shock KYB Rear". Fine, right?
Then the fronts are labelled on the invoice as: "Acura GR-2 Gas Strut KYB Front Left/Right". Hmm
I apologize as I am not too familiar with these newer model Civics, as my expertise lies in 3rd gen Integras and S2000's. Will I have no problem with these "Acura" struts? I would like to know now so I can send them back. In my experience with 3rd Gen Integras, none of them use a strut/shock that look like this.
Will these fit? (2001 Honda Civic DX sedan)

that looks like the strut for the front I'd call them and check it out with one of their sales rep's let them know of this they can tell you over the phone with a little info and check kyb's website maybe they have a part # that you can cross check to make sure it right some places are stupid and put acura on **** even if its for a honda my eibach springs came in a H & R box I was like wtf but opened it to see eibachs inside

Their sales reps didn't know anything, nor did they give me any useful information.
Bump one last time for any more advice.

According to kybshocksonline.com the part # for the 01 Civic GR-2's is 331008 for the front right and 331009 for the front left. See if your struts have that #'s on them, packaging, or invoice. If they're different from that... I'd return them for the correct ones. Good luck.
