Default 4x114.3 Conversion Who's done it?

Hey guys, I searched with no luck, so I am posting this up on my friend's behalf.

He just installed the JDM 96 spec ITR 4x114.3 brake conversion on his 1990 Civic SI. The problem he's having is that he has a bunch of positive camber on the front tires. This is after installing an adjustable camber kit. I haven't seen the car with the conversion on it to check for myself.
Have any of you done this conversion? Hopefully some of you may know whats going on here. I don't. lol Any info would be really appreciated. I know he wants to be able to drive this thing again soon.

I have done the conversion...

Never had any problems with it.

I had just bought a camber kit and got everything aligned and called it a day

May I ask what camber kit you used? I have NO idea what brand it is my friend is using. I do know that it's something cheap, probably from Ebay.

Also, for future reference, what pads and rotors are you using?

Thanks for posting those pics.

you are having the same problem that anyone else would have swaaping 92-up knuckles on an EF.

the 92 up place the ball joint in a different location adding way too much camber.

on my car it was correctable with my adj SPC ball joints, but over a big bump they hit the shock towers.

i ended up pulling the 94 GSR knuckles and went with a set of DAs so i could still use the GSR calipers/rotors.

So, simply changing to a DA knuckle should solve his problem?

well maybe, i have no idea if you could just put the ITR hubs on the DA or not. but as far as the camber, yes it will bring it into a better range for adjustment

Cool. Good info. I'll let my friend know. Hopefully it'll work out for him.

Thanks for the input
