help please i only have until 4:30 or 5:00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey guys im new to welding i used my schools arc and mig and for sum of my grad money i bought a mig welder. ive practiced spot welding and got used to the machine, my question is tho im gunna do body work on my integra today its now 2:04 and stores close around 5 today so i need to no what gauge steel and why type of steel is used to do body work on my 1992 teg(its a quater panel, a small peice of the rocker panel and i need to weld a peice in for my rear bumper at the back to go into. thanks guys in advance. and i no lack of planning on my part doesnt constitute and emergency on urs but i need the answer(S) qucik pplz cause i need to go to the stores so i can get this done tonite. also what else would i need besides my welder and sheet metal in order to weld it on nice? PLEASE HELP.
How did this turn out?........ You need to be very careful how much heat you put into the metal. it will warp so so easy.
maybe he means the bumper it self and not the bumper cover .bro either get 22 guage sheet metal or 20 guage sheet metal
22 is really easy to work with but take longer to weld ,well for me anyways lol
i like 20 more ,a bit more thickness ,thin enough to work into shape and welds nice with honda steel ,i used a tin on my trailor
and its thick enough for fluxcored wire
