Default GSR throttle body on B16. Any tricks to this?

I will be taking my Civic with an OBD1 JDM B16 to get smog ref'd (in California) soon. I think I have just about everything ready but I have the JDM B16 throttle body with the remotely mounted MAP sensor. I read that a GSR throttle body, which has the MAP sensor mounted on top, can be used to get past the visual inspection. Since these seem to be easier to find than a USDM B16 throttle body I think I may try that.

Can I use any GSR throttle body, or just certain years and only OBD1? Also do I need to swap over the throttle cable pulley? Any other thing I should know about?

Thanks

I was looking at a picture of a GSR throttle body and it did not look like there was any place to bolt on the fast idle thermo valve from the B16 throttle body. However, it looked like there were coolant line ports in the same area. Is the fast idle thermo valve built into the throttle body on the GSR, or is the valve eliminated?

AKAIK all pre-obd2 tb's have a FITV. you might have been looking at an obd2 unit?

IMO you don't need the FITV since i believe that the later tb's just have a block off plate in its place.

Thanks
I should have been able to figure that out that myself but I didn't realize that the FITV everybody was talking about was the Fast Idle Thermo Valve.

That was a quick response again. You must live on HT or something.
