The key is in tuning.

 

9.0-9.5:1 compression is the best. still can run high boost, and still have some power when not in boost. also the motor doesnt detonate with the CR. you can also run about 10:1 CR but a really good tune is required for that.

and what the other guy said yeah its also in the tuning to.

 

the higher the compression, the easier your motor will denotate. which is very bad news...

just dont overdo anything, compression/psi. and yes of course good tuning also helps

I would say 9:1 would be ideal.

We typically run 9.0:1 compression on 90% of our turbo builds.
