Just had my flywheel resurfaced.Got that on and new input shaft bearing.Put the disc on but the clutch cover does not line up with the holes on the flywheel so I need to make sure I have the right part #'s for an 88 CRX/Civic Si Set up.Anyone that can help me out I'd appreciate it.There are a bunch of numbers one the boxes:Clutch cover-HCC902 Clutch disc-HCD802U Again somebody help a poor *** brother out I bought this set almost a year and have no receipt as it was bought through ebay.Can someone let me know what I got and if it's the correct or incorrect #'s. Thanks
It's possible you did not have it lined up right w/ the flywheel dowel pins? it only goes on one way so if it does not fit you gotta turn till it does. there is only 3 pins so you have a 1 & 3 chance to get it right
. If that does not work then you have the wrong pressure plate, I have installed tons of these but I don't have any part numbers on hand right now, a pic of the parts could really help.

The only thing that concerns me is that the line-up tool that I got with the clutch kit works so the line-up tool has the correct # of splines but I can't get the clutch cover to line-up and that makes me uncomfortable with the clutch disc also.Any body??? Help a broke son of a bitch out??? I'm thinking maybe go and buy another clutch cover and disc,make sure it's for an 88 si then put the ones that don't fit back in the boxes and return them.Think it'd work??????
does the disc fit onto the tranny?
Did you buy the larger kit that requires the 90-2000 flywheel?
Behold the power of a well known search engine called Google
Notes: HCC902; HCD802U;
Application: "212mm disc, 20 splines
88=21 spline, 200mm disc

You know what I thought of that and I tried it and it doesn't fit.It's a D16A6 motor and the tranny came connected to the motor so I know those match up.So now I have to try and figure out what year my motor is?? Any ideas??? What #'s will I need off the motor and where can I find them?? It's got a D16Z6 head on it so I can't use the head #'s so I'm hoping someone can tell me what and where I can find them on the block??? Thanks

I counted the splines and there are 20 but this could mean it's either an 89,90,91 how do I tell?? I know now that it's not a freaking 88 like I was told.How can I tell what year it is??
89-2000, doesn't matter, it's a 20 spline.
the difference between 88-89 and 90-2000 lie in the flywheel and what pressure plate hat it will accept.
You list part numbers for a 90-2000 clutch kit. Try fitting the pressure plate WITHOUT the clutch disc onto the flywheel. The three pins means you have three different ways to line it up, but only one way will fit.
Does the clutch disc slide onto the tranny shaft? If it does, the big headache is out of the way.
If the pressure plate hate won't fit the pins on the flywheel, try it on a buddys 90-2000 flywheel. If it works, swap that flywheel into your car or buy a 90-2000 replacement.
Maybe look into a replacement, just don't go lighter than 12 pounds, I've no idea on your overall setup.
