Default How do I take my tail lights off?

My wife recently bought me an aftermarket tail light kit for my 2005 Honda Civic Si but I can't get the originals off. They appear to be simple unscrew the 3 nuts, pull off old and replace with new. The only problem is that after removing all three nuts I still cant get the Taillights off. Any ideas why?

if the si ones are like the ex ones sometimes you have to wiggle them because the foam gets stuck after awhile. i had three nuts then had to pull and wiggle mine out...

I've been out here for about 20 minutes trying to wiggle it off. The top portion seems to come off but the bottom half wont. I looked closer and found a snap that I had to pinch and it moved a little more but it still doesnt come all the way off. I dont see anymore snaps but its such a small area that I cant see very well. Anyone know where I can get possibly a exploded view or something like that? Thanks again for the feedback.

I just check my chiltons and they dont say dump about removing a si hatch's lights so i can only imagine you have screws that hold it in place on the bottom of your tail lights between the bumper and light housing like on my ex sedan, and if it is you must remove your bumper to get to them or be like me and cut them out at 2am on a sunday with a hacksaw but I dont suggest that you can mess your bumper up bad if you are a sloppy cutter

yup you have to remove the rear bumper to fully remove the lens my buddy was doing the same thing as you man so don't feel bad other people don't think of it also.lol

plus you don't need chilton to figure that out it's common sense if you pull and only the top is coming lose that means it's grabbing on the bottom..
