For filters you clean and re-use, K&N makes a cleanign solution. Same stuff as 409.

I don't know if AEM is a clean-&-reusable filter.

I buy a new filter every 6 months for $20.

you can get those K&N cleaning kits. Wash out the filter with water then respray with that red oil like stuff in the kit.

Both AEM and K&N make cleaning kits for the cotton gauze reusable filters (identifiable by their red color). Just buy one of the cleaning kits and follow the instructions. It's very easy to do.

I tried to clean it with little soap and water, and stuff came out. But I used the K&N cleaning kit, and it took out things I didn't take out with soap. Good stuff.

Depending what filter you have. Cotton gauze or dryflow. Cotton gauze=use K&N filter cleaning kit/recharge. For dryflow, you have to buy AEM cleaning kit.

AEM makes cleaning kits for both cotton gauze filters (#21-100) and their Dry Flow filters (#21-110). So if you order an AEM cleaning kit make sure you are buying the correct one for your filter type.
