Default H22a EK Needs Help With Misfire Issues, Got A Video Too

The car starts good after a while like a few hours, it starts and stays on. Once its been taken for a few meters after misfiring, on standstill the car dies. When you try switching the car on, it wont start?? When the car does backfire, it almost stalls and sometimes does, it won't go above that rev region.

The Cambelt wasnt changed, the H22a engine was just put in the car. The car was driving all good for about 3weeks, it did cut out because the idle fell and was low. It got really bad one hot day, i was driving and it started misfiring and stalling only sometimes, didn't take much notice because it just went back to normal. I was parked up and apparently a white puff of smoke came out from the engine bay. The car still drove good sometimes after that but it got worse, and now its just totally gone bad.

Well, so far i've changed the rotor arm and dizzy cap. The plugs, the leads and bought an uprated fuel pump! Checked the firing order, it's correct. Earth Straps are correct and tight, There's no sign of mayo under the oil cap.

The car does have cels but its had cels since the conversion was first carried out. I can't find the diagnostics plug either, i've found it on every other EK apart from mine?? A friend came around and he coudln't find mine either? the person who carried out the conversion (i no longer talk to) must've done something with it??

here's the vid:

u getting any cels (check engine lights)? It could also be ur ignitor or coil going out.
Check ur spark plugs and see what they tell you.

Yeah u really need to get those codes checked, they'll tell u what ur problem is. The fact ur plugs are black means ur running rich, can't say much else without a picture.. Try to find that plug or at least the 2 wires so u can jumper em.

I think you may have the wrong plug on your map sensor. there is another plug on the harness that is the same size, map and ??? i did the same thing to my car when i first got it running... try swapping them.
