'96 Ex V6 Accord...Need a few questions answered PLEASE!
Good morning to everyone.
1) My car has about 141k miles and I wanted to do an oil change this weekend. What brand/type of motoroil would be best to use? And approximately how much oil is needed to fill up? The engine right now has Pennzoil 10w-40 in it. This oil was what the rep at Autozone told me my car needed. Every morning when the engine is cold and is turned on it makes this clicking sound for a few minutes then stops after it has warmed up. I read somewhere a couple days ago that it made that clicking noise because the oil I'm using may be to thick? Is that the real reason?
2)I'll also be draining and adding atf-z1, exactly how much is needed to fill up completely?
Also I noticed in my garage one day when I was parking the car that I could hear this whistling birdlike churp when changing the gears. I thought I was going nuts so I kept doing it and continued to hear it when changing through all the gears. Its not that loud as I had to turn everything down to hear it but still able to hear it with the engine idling. Is this normal? Or is this a sign of something bad to come?
3) What other things would you guys suggest I have done to maximize performance? I've put about 3,000 miles since I got the car in April and really haven't done anything except an oil change and adding some atf-z1. Maybe change the spark plugs, what brand are the best?
4) My AC only comes on when i have it turned all the way up. It has to be on high to blow out air so this sucks as I don't always need to have it that high and it seems to affect the way the car drives. What is the cause of this, and what can I do to fix it?
5) I drive 50 miles round trip to work 5 days a week and I frequently notice that the car seems to perform best when I'm first leaving the house and work in the afternoon, but when I almost arriving at work and home the car seems to get a little sluggish. By that I mean not going through the gears as smoothly, rpms jumping a little. Also something I noticed that was strange after driving for a while, I have a Sirius plug and play radio installed which is hardwired and occasionally I when listening to the radio I start to hear this loud hissing, screathing whine when accellerating that comes through my sound system. I only hear this noise when I have the Sirius radio on and is accompanied with the sluggishness after driving for a while. I know it's not a bad ground or anything because i've had the car idling for longer periods of time with the radio playing and it never happens. Have any of you experienced anything like this or know what what be the cause of this?
I Know i'm killing you guys with all the writing but I just couldn't stop once I got started. I really hope some of you can help me.

1) Not sure on V6's, I use Mobil 1 filter / Mobil 1 10w30 (4 1/4 quarts for a 4cyl, v6 is probably more) also read the oil cap, that should tell you what to use OR look in the manual
2) Use Honda ATF - much better and made for hondas (not sure on V6's it's 2.5 quarts for my 5spd 96)
4) Tune up (air filter, spark plugs, wires, etc)
4) not sure - gunked up compressor would be my guess?
5) changing the tranny fluid may help with this
most of that stuff I would read the owners manual on , should have it in there

Unfortunately for myself, I bought the car without the manual and is the main reason why I'm not to familiar with what to use. And its also the first Honda I've owned.
