'95 Integra GSR - No mods, planning on NA or Greddy Turbo
Hey peeps,
I have a '95 Integra GSR and I am either going to install a Greddy Turbo Kit or go the naturally aspirated route. I read somewhere that going NA is more expensive but more rewarding. I have also read though that the Greddy Kit is C.A.R.B (Smog) Legal. That would be a definate plus since this is an everyday driver. Keep in mind, I am not looking for insane horsepower. So in your opinion which route is best Greddy Turbo or NA for the money, reliability, power and legalities?
Please let me know when you can. Oh yeah, I know that this a though question because there are many different aspects of NA engines. I just need your opinions. Thanks!

The statement about a Naturally Aspirated vehicle being more expensive but rewarding is true. The build consists of blueprinted/balanced block, port and polished head, camshafts, pistons, rods, cam gears, etc. An average cost of an N/A build normally would run you about 10-15k.....this also includes transmission build as well.
The rewarding part of N/A: Engine Response is instant.
As opposed forced induction, doing a turbochraged setup will cost slightly cheaper, but to be safe...you'd have to rebuild the bottom end. Depending on what route you go with turbocharging your vehicle...there are companies out there that provide turbo kits.
The not so rewarding part about Turbo: Turbo Lag.
What are your goals for your Gs-R?

Instant spool here
I'm not sure how lower 1/4 mile times are rewarding, but it depends on what you want to do with the car... 10-15K into a GSR turbo setup

well if you look at it greddy kit 50 state legal , but one thing you live in kali where the cops are d*cks, they will send to the state ref, but n/a the cops won't see ur internals, you get , if you go turbo the cops will mess with you all the time.
Basically my goals for this vehicle is a substantial amount of power for the dollar amount invested. I am not interested in turning this GSR into a racecar but rather a daily driver that handles and performs. Nokturnal - Yeah, the kit being CARB Legal is definately enticing enough since I live in California. Can a person still be ref'ed for having the kit installed if the CARB sticker is displayed under the hood? About installing internals and such smog is an issue. I currently don't know any shady smog places...

I have my greddy kit and I love it.
Its a really decent turbo kit, and it can be made into a really nice turbo kit after changing the downpipe and tuning.
If you have any questions about the greddy kit in general, you can shoot me a pm

Right on ********, I'll definately send you a pm if I have questions about the kit. By the way, how do you like your Koni/GC combo? How large is the gap between your fenders and your tires?

Ive got like a 1.5 to 2 finger gap. Where I live ther are a lot of different obstacles I have to go through, and if it was any lower, i would scrape one everything. But I like them a lot. Very nice for daily driving as well as any spirited driving you wanna throw at them

Not to be rude and try to steal your thread but I was wondering the same thing too. I was debating between NA or boost. I was planning to get a kit and run like 6psi off my stock 96' GSR. And then as I save up money I would build my motor and boost more. What kit do you guys recommended that has good power and is CARB legal? My spending is like 3-4 grand.

also, I was thinking you wanted something carb legal?
You live in california, so that would be a HUGE plus.
Greddy is the only manufacturer of a carb legal kit

Alright, do you guys recommended a place to get it? I mean, I want a full kit, which means no parts are missing. Only thing need to be done is to put it on. I seen on weksos's website that they have the Greddy kit but it's missing the intercooler stuff.

Numb- 1.5 to 2 finger gap. Thats great. I'm definately thinking about getting that combo. Its definately affordable compared to the tein ss coilovers.
Nguyen- I think that the Intercooler, Piping, etc. is "optional" and needs to be purchased seperately. I think that's not bad considering the price and you can purchase a better parts elsewhere.
