195/45/16 or 205/40/16 on 95 civic?
I've been looking at getting a new set of tires for my 95 Civic. I've narrowed it down to the SPT and the GS-D3. My wheels are 16x7 so I figure the proper size for the SPT would be 205/40/16. The Goodyear comes in 205/45/16 and 195/45/16. The 195/45/16 seems to be closer to my stock wheel size but it's an odd size for a tire. Will these be alright or should I stick with the SPT that comes in the "correct" size?
Also, the Goodyears in this size are $16 more than the SPT ($95 vs $79). With Tirerack's $50 cash card, the Goodyears actually come out cheaper than the SPTs. Too bad I live in Canada as this offer is only good for the Continental US

Either size will work on your '95 Civic. If you want the better performance of the F1 GS-D3, get it. If you want the cost savings of the SPT, get it.
BTW, I see where it mentions on the Tire Rack website about continental U.S. only, but neither the rebate form on the Tire Rack website nor the one on the Goodyear website says anything about it being limited to U.S. residents. It's worth sending in to see; you've got nothing to lose by doing so.
