What to do with $2K??
Let's say I will be purchasing a 94-95 GSR. I will probably have that much money left over to put into the car. I am going to keep it naturally aspirated. What mods do you suggest? So far I've come up with:
1. 17" Axis Se7ens, Eibach/Koni Suspension, CF Hood
2. Bad *ss Sound System (too many components to list)
3. GReddy EVO, AEM Intake, DC Headers, Cams, etc.
I wanna look good but not skimp on the performance side. I know the i/h/e won't give you real power, but keep in mind NO TURBO! Please help me out. Thanks!

id skip the 17's. i/h/e do provide noticable gains, so dont skimp on those. id def do the performance first and show later...or at least intertwine them...
dont do the sound system. save it.
id go with the ihe, cams, s2 im, and vafc first

I/H/E is about a grand. Then I could go with suspension and CF hood (who sells them??). I hope I can even find a GSR. I've been looking for 3 months and I can't find a decent one within 200 miles. Thanks for the reply.
don't forget about the tires. at least some kumhos or better yet some falken azenis. then go for suspension. if u want a noticeable drop, forget the prokits and get sportlines or H&R sports. for shocks, i have KYB, its the poor man's koni yellow. i love my set up. also get an itr rear sway bar. that's a grand right there. w/ out labor. u'll still need alignment and possibly a camber kit.
spend the other thousand on I/H/E. that should be a good start. your car will have an aggressive stances and will breath better.

i would do I/E/H in that order, then suspension, and if u got any money left over, just pick up so rotas... they are cheap, sturdy, light and look good.
Yeah, I plan on getting some Eibach Sportlines. If money is tight I will get the Koni Reds; if not Koni Yellows
! 2 quick questions: Who makes a decent CF hood? Will I have to use pins? What is the ideal offset for a Teggy w/ 17s? I heard +42mm?
Thanks!

if the 94~95 gsr you get still comes with the stock wheels... just keep 'em.. with the $2000 you have.. port and polish teh head $1000... and do some bottom end work.. pistons, rods.. your car will last longer.
I would skip on the Axis wheels and for that matter, any 17" wheel. Seventeen inch wheels to me are where you cross the line between looks and performance. Stick with the stock GSR wheels for now and get a good tire that will perform in wet and dry conditions.
For your suspension, There are a wide variety of set-ups. A full coilover set-up is an great option. It will allow you to adjust the feel as well as ride height. Of course, you can also go with the strut / spring set-up which has its limitations, unlike a full coilover.
You have chose a good exhaust system. The Greddy EVO is a popular set-up among other Integra drivers. You may also want to look into the Apex'i N1 exhaust. Yet another popular item.
I think the AEM cold air intake is a must. Statistically, its the first modification everyone does.
The DC header is a good choice. I would go for the stainless steel over the ceramic coated header. Again, you have other header to choose from but at some point, you are going to be paying more that the name. The DC header is the happy median.

If I were to get some 16" Rotas what would be the ideal offset and tire size? What could I do after I/H/E, cam gears, VAFC? Should I get some AEM cam gears or ITR?
Thanks!

Yea, but are you gonna install ALL those on your own, or are you gonna make a shop do it? Trust me, installation will cost a WHOOOOOOLE lot!! You gotta consider that also...

lets see what id do with 2K and a GSR.
Koni Yellows - $425?
GC's for now - $300 (custom rates later)
Falken Azenis for stock GSR Rims ($275)
Comptech Icebox
JDM DC 4-1
Apex'i WS
theres my way of blowing off $2,000.

I think the most tangible upgrade you can do is a sound system. Would you rather lower your 1/4 mile by .5 sec w/ I/H/E, or would you rather kick back and bump your favorite beats during a long 4 hour drive? I have about equal $$$ invested in my stereo and mods, if I had to do w/o one or the other it would be my mods. I have to have my beats.
Like the Coup says....
"A bucket w/ beats feels like a Rolls Royce"

Try to get Rota or just keep the stock gsr wheels and go with AEM CAI JDM DC 4-1 Header, Apexi N1 or other Exhaust hi flow cat, vafc, cams, cam gears, tuning etc its over 2K but there something to start you up with. Forget the sound system.
aem cold air,dc jdm 4 to 1,greddy evo or apex N1 for exhaust. by the way theres no need for a stainless steel header IMO just get the ceramic. rotas w/ falken azenis...15s. that should be a good starting point, and u can throw in a carsound 2.5 cat.

Ok, this is what I have so far...
AEM CAI - $180
DC JDM 4-1 SS Header - $360
Skunk2 RS*R Exhaust - $500
Random Technology Hi-Flow Cat - $200
Koni Yellows - $425
GC Coilovers - $275
Car Alignment - $40
TOTAL: $2000
1. Quick question on the header: I think you can order them w/ a 2.5" flange. Would I need to get that or should the header be a direct bolt-on the the hi-flow cat?
2. What kind of gains could I expect? (~15hp?)
