brake pads
whats going on guys? i dont know if this issue happened to anyone but it did to me... i purchased slotted rotters and was told that you should also replace you brake pads so i ordered hawk brake pad from procivic for my car..... so when i installed my rotors i tried putting on the pads they would fit in the caliper but then not fit on the rotor it was to tight ...... any ideas?
Take your brake fluid resevoir cap off to let some pressure escape, and retract the pistons in the callipers some more to allow them to sit over the discs.
taking the cap off does nothing.
You need a 4" C-clamp, and you have to crank the piston back in.
Alternatively, open the bleeder screw and push it back by hand, but then you'll have to bleed the system.

you dont need to removeyo ur cap to push the pistion back it infact brake fluid is hydroscopic and will absorb moisture so removing your cap while you take the time to push the piston back in is not a wise choice
just my two cents
