Suspension/Steering problem :(
So about a week ago I was driving along, turned a corner at about 10mph and thunk! My front left wheel came up into the fender well and the body of the car came down and I came skidding to a stop. The lower ball joint stud snapped off the steering knuckle and caused the suspension system to come loose from the lower control arm making it impossible for me to go anywhere. It ripped my axel in two and trashed my fender. What I'm getting to here is this, is it possible to have a new ball joint stud pressed into the bottom of the steering knuckle or am I going to have to purchase a whole new knuckle assembly?
If I do have to get a whole new assembly, where other than my local u-pull it or junk yard can I find one of these? I haven't been having any luck whatsoever finding steering knuckles! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm hoping that it's only that ball joint that got damaged and not any of the other connecting joints, especially the one(s) on the frame!
