'88 Accord LXi Coupe/Rear Strut Replacement
To the Group:
Yeah, it's him again! I'm basically a "driveway mechanic", on disability, trying to keep my "wheelchair" running. Any help is always gratefully appreciated.
As you can see, my car is 20 model years old w/320K miles. The space between the wells and tires has been slowly decreasing for some years now, creating more road noise. I have never replaced the rear struts. The springs "appear" to be in good shape. Will a generic spring compressor do the job properly?
Once I pull the wheels will everything that I need to swap out -- top and bottom -- be in plain sight? What do you think? Should I be expecting any surprises once I get started? Thanks.
