Hey,

Does anyone one know what kind of belt is that on the top of the 5th generation h22 pully. I goes around just two pullies. It is the first belt that you see when you open the hood. It doesn't have any number of letters on it either. I was changing my oil the other day and noticed that the belt was stripped. I know that it is not the timing belt or alternator belt. I asked a couple people and they said they dont know either. I need some help please does anyone know the name of this belt and where can I find it because I dont want it to snap while I am driving. Thanks!

 

Uhh...power steering belt. Goes on the power steering pump.

If it's not that the only other belt you can see is the AC & alternator belt, but that goes on 3 pulleys.

 

Ok, so you think that it is the power steering belt. I can get this at autozone right?

 

um yes its the power steering belt. power steering is the first accessory then alternator then ac.

 

Please step back away from the car if you can't even identify the power steering pump.
