1. when the engine and trans is lifted should oil come out of the trans where the axle go in

2. what is the black can next to the battery just left of the rear motor mount has a few hose going into it

1. drain your tranny before you take it out
2. the black can is your fuel filter

 

1. thats normal but u should drain the tranny first (its less messy)
2. fuel filter or charcoal canister

yes its normal.
its the fuel filter.

 

its not the furl filter
what is the charcoal canister for and do i need it

 

maybe some pictures of what the hell you're talking about would help.

Charcoal canister is a part of your emissions system. Its function is to collect the gasoline fumes that get generated as the fuel level in your gas tank changes.

The air around your car needs it. Without it your car would be leaking toxic gasoline fumes into the air from various seals throughout the fuel system.
