gsr feling REALLY sluggish. help me out
so after i took my turbo off my car, i feel it runs REEEEEAAALLLLY sluggish. its a 2000 gsr with 35,000 on the motor. there are no CEL's so i dont know really where to start looking. it has a fresh set of plugs gapped at .44. the wires are a little old, but not that old. my only thought is it may be the timing. my tuner said he didnt change the timing but i have no idea why it runs so sluggish. at like low rpms if you push in the gas you feel a very slight hesitation and even as the rpms climb, it doesent pull for ****.
PS....stock intake, but aftermarket exhuast

how long was the turbo on there? how many lbs were you running and on what turbo? if you were running high boost or any boost for that matter it could have lost compression due to the added stress while the turbo was on. have it compression and leakdown tested

haha i was gonna say the same thing.
Although, you might have lost some compression due to the added stress on rings/cylinder walls.

it was pm there for less then 10,000 miles. i was only running 7lbs. sometimes it boost spiked but other then that, i cant think of anything else. i understand i lost 100hp but im just saying, the car doesent run so great. how much stress could 7lbs put on a new motor though?what would some symptoms of off timing be?
7lbs on a T25 will be far less stress than 7 lbs on a GT42R (which i doubt anyone would run on only 7 lbs) but you get the idea. boost spiking most likely would not cause too much added stress, i would think that just over time that much added pressure within the cylinders could weaken piston wrings and their ability to properly seal and create good compression.

Timing retard is used for boost. This will cause very sluggish acceleration.

well thats what im saying. it was only on for less then 10,000. probably more around 7-8000. it was tuned with hondata so i dont know if he played with the distributor at all. i asked and he said no, but this guy tunes alot of cars, he may have made a mistake. im gunna see if i cn get a timing light and check. do i just turn the dstributor to get it to 16 if its off? does this even sound liek a timing issue?

Do a compression test and leakdown test. It's easy and you can diagnose your problem starting there; especially since you had a turbo on there, and as everyone said the pressure (although only 7 lbs) undoubtedly added stress on the motor.
Good job only have 35,000 miles though, that thing's a baby.
