Bolting down a sub box
hey what i did was i took out that cheap cover and copied on to a thick piece of wood and cut it out and then i bolted my sub on to new piece .
that sounds like a good idea. But It needs to be bolted down to part of the car cuz my old sub just got jacked and it wasn't covered by insurance cuz it needs to be bolted down to metal that is part of the car.
hmm well what i personally did was make a plywood trunk floor and put staples in it to hold my subs in place. but i have a box with 2 10's.
for what you want, i would make a new floorboard, but cut out a part for the box. then take out the actual woofer from the box, drill and screw the box to the metal, then put your woofer back in.
now of course, be very careful where you do this, cause you dont want to drill into any wiring, and i dont know exactly where the gas tank is reletive to where your putting it.
anyway.. at least they didnt take your whole car!
