iirc, they're made by Toyo Roki, who makes the better OEM Honda filters (Fram makes the lesser ones). i have them. color aside, they're identical to the OEM Honda S2K filters.

i had seen them on jdmland.com, they claim there great for v-tech engines because they regulate oil pressure better and also raise it by 5 psi, I was planning on buying some because they are cheap and seam like they are better then most. anyone else have any thoughts on these?

^its not looking for error.

but when you read you can see the error.
and as for the filter no idea. if there is solid proof of 5psi gain on the hamp filter.

GTFO

Get The Frank Out

Honestly dood.... its a waste of your time to try and e-fight us. Big deal, you mispelled V-attack. If i ran in the corner to hide everytime i got flammed when i first joined i would be nowhere to be found.

Wanna hang out and get to know others? Just go with the flow, even if that means taking some heat at one point or another.

Haven't seen you post too much around here, so welcome. HAMP filters are an excellent choice to answer your question. Honda S2K filters are just as good if you don't have access to a HAMP supply.

if you're using a filter to raise oil pressure, you're raising/measuring pressure on the wrong side of the system; you're only making the pump work harder.

i run the largest OEM filter possible (S2K) for the lowest pressure drop.

consider that the oem filters have a bypass valve that opens in case the filter is clogged; makes sense since unfiltered oil is better than none. if you run a larger filter with the same filtration media (as a smaller version), you'll be able to filter your oil more often (with less restriction), since the valve will remain closed.

keep in mind that in any fluid system velocity and volume have to be balanced. stick your thumb over the end of a running garden hose and think about it.

honda likely went to smaller filter because it saves them $, and they can get away with it now that roller valvetrain allows for thinner oil to be used (and it helps them meet EPA standards).
