<FONT SIZE="5">Design our 2007 race car graphics contest!</FONT>

Usually, i would do this myself, but due to my heavy work load and hectic schedule, i figured i would offer it up to some of the talented artistic folk out there. A small prize IS awarded to the winner

<FONT COLOR="blue">PRIZE - If we pick your entry, you will recieve a $100 gift certificate good towards any product we sell!</FONT>

I'll supply side views and front views of each car (see this post) so that layouts can be overlayed and submited. The cars designs should complement one another.

Logos/Sponsors that need to be incorporated are:
J's Racing (largest prominant)
GT Motoring (secondary)
Falken tire
MotorKlasse
Swift Springs

Colors:
DC5: bronze or gold and mirror red

AP2: dark or light Silver and mirror red


I will also attach a few photos of J's Racing's current race cars. We would like ours to fit in with theirs, as they are our main sponsor, and of course, we distribute their products in the USA.

The AP2 will have a J's Aero kit installed next week, but please use the current for lay out and design. If you have the means to design things in paths or illustrator etc, all the better. Feel free to contact me with any questions or submissions at: greg@gtmotoring.com

Cars will run in various US Time Attack races, and NASA events. If magazine coverage occurs, we WILL give you a shout out!

haha yep that was me, I would have stopped and went in but I had to be somewhere...did you cruise out to Plainfield a month or two ago for a lil midwests best meet?

 

 

Are you guys looking to have the schemes match each other or can we go w/ something more appropriate for each body?

what exactly are you looking for ? a logo? a design?

 

id prefer if the cars related to one another, but not nessesary.

as posted in large font: RACE CAR GRAPHICS.... hehe logos are alredy there in the link for all companies needing to be placed on the car.

lol i read wrong... sorry, it didnt come across to me as something youd actually put on a car

is there a template for the side of a car that i could work off of? i dont see how else graphics could be created to fit.

 

just the large front and side photos i provided in the link, along with the needed sponsors.

just race graphics only. no paint. use the colors and sponsors specified, and images provided. cars wheels already match the given colorschemes.

Indeed. Thanks a ton to all of you guys for participating! I can't wait to see how things come out. Both me and my DC5 will be very grateful.

I'd love to design something myself, but it'd be a total mess. Hopefully we'll do well enough to where we'll net some decent press. Then the winner will be able to say "Hey, that's my design!" and we'll for sure acknowledge that wherever possible if/when we do recieve press.

Again, I can't wait to see some of the designs!

i suck at this kind of stuff, but i think it would be sick to see someone incorporate a tire tread as the main pattern into the design

if we can, that's great. In fact, i'm started to work on this right now

 

you can use those if you like i guess. I just tried to give straight on shots, as they are easiest for me to later work with, as i have to be able to draw them all up in vectors for plotting.
