Default how do u make your coilovers fit in the front shocks

1ST when i ordered my skunk2 coilovers i thought i bought the wrong one becuase the sleeves wouldnt go through the shocks so i was like fuckk they shipped me the wrong one so i returned it and got a different set of coilovers so i tried putting it on the other day and it still didnt go through! so now i figured that you have to do something to it to make it fit?!? what am i supposed to do?

there's a cap on the top of the shocks... they have to be pulled off. DON'T break the cap or screw them up, pull it off side to side with a flat head screw driver. The reason i say don't break the cap is because you have to put them back on once you put the coilovers on.

I don't have any pics. It looks like it's part of the strut but it's a cap. If you look at the top of the tube there is like a silverish or copperish looking cap that looks like it's part of the tube but it's not.. it's actually a cap .

If you're not sure of what you're doing, please take them somewhere and have them professionally done or have someone that's done it before, help you. You don't want to mess up anything on your suspension

You have to put, not to small of a screwdriver, but a decent sized flat head screw driver under the top cap "lip" and move side to side.

I don't think the N00b with 5 posts needs to be bashing on the OP who is just trying to get some help.

To the OP good luck. I called Skunk and they emailed me directions. They told me to cut the perch off to get it to work. They wen't on smooth, nice drop. BUT!!! be warned it is a very very bumpy ride. It be ready to throw some lube at the rubber peices because they will have a very deep sqeeking sound.

Again a noob who thinks he owns H-T because he has 94 posts.

Why is this a gay thread? Because some rsx owner was trying to get help and no one could give him a straight answer. Instead some *** with 5 posts comes in and gives him a hard time about not reading instructions. Skunk2 does not provide instructions so I think it's only right he consults fellow owners to see whats up. So please GTFO..
