Default pulley kit from AEM and hp gain

Hey guys.

So I got a pulley kit a while back from AEM and i ******* hate it. looks great but blows ***. Anyways I was wondering if anyone knew of the issue where when you have a/c running and you shift above 3000 rpms your engine makes a high pitch noise. it's as if the pulley kit scraped against something or some crap.

I have an intake, header, and exhaust, any idea how to give me car a little more umph with a price braket of no more than $1,000?

To me nos was the only mod that i have done so far that made a difference. I have a 60 shot in and its gettin the job done for the price. as far as the pulleys go, check if the power stearing pulley is rubbing on the hose that comes out the power steering pump. That happened to me and i had to get a new hose. Well thats my advise. Good luck.

yeh I can check that, but that would really make that high pitch screech noise? How much does nos go for, the setup and filling the tube again?

its not called nos. nor is it called nawz.

Its called nitrous.

Nos is a company, like Zex or Edlebrock.

U can usually find used nitrous kits for under $500 with everything u need. a new one can be found for under $800.

As for refilling its like $25 locally ( Canada) so pricing it all depends how fast u drain a bottle.

I have the same pulleys with the same noise if I am not mistaken it is one of the belts slipping.

Do you have the noise anymore?

The guy at the garage who did it tightened it more and he said if it still makes noise he doesn't know.

So you guys know it's the belt right?

How do you create more tension on it? How do you know if it's enough and when to stop?
