^^^ That does not make any sence. why is that? I not a fan of crime stopper. There alarm brain is prone to going out. I used to be a dealer for them. It was not worth the headache to switch out brains all the time.

Do me a favor, take a pic of the alarm sitting on the ground after they steal your car and all you find out in the driveway is a battery with an alarm hooked up to it.

^^^^^ well sorry that you did not have a properly installed alarm. If the theif was able to set your brain on your driveway then it was not installed correctly. I'll let everybody know what I have. Clifford gps tracking with built in back up battery, Clifford 50.5x with back up battery, 4 sirens, 2 in the car, 1 in the engine bay, one in the fender. 2 of them have back up battries. Main relay relocated and killed. Full stealth install that in the factory harness. Alarm brain and gps is fab into the car and is in a spot that will take a hour to get to. If you do tow the car you can not shut up the sirens and their going to blare all the way to the location that you take it to. And if you don't care about that. The car will call my house phone and cell phone to tell me that its being messed with withthen 5 mins of the alarm going off. And will send live feed back to Dei gps tracking center and I can follow it on the computer. O don't forget the dei tracking system is a gps/celluar base system so they can't hide it anywere. Car security is not hard at all. It might be expensive but so is your turbo kit, rim, ice. What theif wants to go thru all that trouble to begin with? none.

Read the "cause for alarm" in the audio/security section of the forum. Alot of members in there that can help you put together a real working alarm system. Most of them are installers themselves. And are not noobs that have no ideal on what it take to do the job right.

Good man WRX Killer :-D I love to hear someone who has their ish in order. My alarm has stopped people from stealing my car as well. Couple mexicans tried to steal it from right in front of my house and the starter kill stopped them from going anywhere and the siren scared them off. Soon to have another siren under the dash, has a full stealth install, two way page, backup battery coming also (have one in my jeep but not the accord yet :-/) A properly installed security system will almost always prevent someone from taking your car if not slow them down considerably. It might seem spendy at first but not compared to replacing your car and all the mods, blood, sweat, and tears you've put into it. I would have the GPS system, but I just can't justify the monthly fee ^_^ DEI is the way to go though. Viper on my accord, Python on the Jeep. DEI to the end.

^^^ thanks man But check this out, there is no monthly fee's for the dei gps. You pay for a package deal with hits on it. http://www.clifford.com. I do this for a living and own my own business. I would say a good system like mine would cost about $1800-2300, Parts and labor. aAot of people say thats to much. But I like living the car outside and seeing it in the morning. Now I know people can't afford all of that but please save up. You save for a turbo that about 6g's you can do it for a alarm. 6 fo 6 on catching theives and counting

I do installs too all day long. I don't own my own business but I do the installs I thought that it was a monthly fee, but I guess I'm just ignorant on the subject. lol. We do all DEI products at my work but not a lot of the higher end stuff, we get into the mid range but the demographic that the owners go after is more around the low budget range :-P

I go after everything. You have to nowadays. But I show my customers what really needs to be done and they take my advice. All of my installs allways include a back up battery and some sort of stealth install. Even my basic install hides the brain in the dash. I would hate to have a customer car stolen that I worked on by a theif. But you have some people that only want the basic. owell. were are you located?

Just as a heads up, you can find out quite a bit about people, which is why people blur their plates.

If you rip apart everything to install the system you're better off, hide stuff as much as possible and in odd places.

The reason I remove the dash and fab it there is because you can not get to the brain. You would have to pull out the whole dash. 1 because it takes about 45 min to 1 hour. 2 how many tega and civic to you see with the dash out. 3 time you even get the dash out and the car has been sitting there I allready or the customer has your addy and so do the cops that there on the way. O by the way the gps is accurate its a hit or miss of less then 15 feet.
