Default 89 civic problem please help

i have a 89 civic 4 speed with a 1.5. The problem is when i drive the car around and let it warm up after 15 minutes. when the car is turned off the car when trying to start back up will not start. It will just crank and crank. I have to wait sometimes at least 20 minute to get it started again. Ive already tried the main Mitsubu relay and also put carb cleaner in the throttle body and tried starting but to no avail. I guess that would narrow it down to the electrical. I heard from some one it could be the ignitor in the distributor but i do not know where it is. Can i just change the ignitor or would i have to change the whole distributor. By the way the computer is no throwing any codes either. This is a problem that is driving me crazy. Please help or any info that can help i would greatly appreaciate it thanks

yes you can change just the ignitor but before you go buy a new one check for spark.

Classic main relay problem. Try changing or fixing your main relay before you rip your motor apart or buy parts you don't need.

Edit: I see you've "tried" the main relay. Did you fix it or get a new one?

Another check is to see if the fuel pump is priming. Turn your ignition to the "II" position, you'll see your CEL go on. You should hear the fuel pump whirring and after a few seconds the CEL will go out and the main relay will click. If you are not hearing either of these sounds, either your main relay is still bad, your fuel pump is crapping out, or both.

yes i replaced the main relay with a new one. I thought that if the car was having a problem with the fuel pump the carb cleaner directly into the t.b. would at least start it for a few turns.
