Default Jade green metallic Questions

I'm planning on painting my car jade green metallic. (color off a 05 rsx)
I know that using metallic paint is hard. BUT i don't know if its actual metallic paint or if its just the name. Paintscratch says its just a base and a clear. Any help and pointers?? This will be my first time spraying a car. The only experience i have with paint is doing graff murals.

Heres picture of a jade green metallic rsx: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1964280

I'll be getting the paint from paintscratch.com

It is a metallic paint. Metallics are really not hard if you know what to look for and know what your doing. The base/clear method does not relate to what type of paint is being used. Pearl, solid, metallic paint can be sprayed using the base/clear method. I recommend reading through the sticky and doing some google searching to learn more.

That's an awesome color. What kind of car are you painting?

You'll be fine. I'm painting my car Electron Blue Pearl which has metallics and pearl in it. If you're spraying it yourself for the first time...try it on a small area so that you can get used to spraying the gun and figuring out the spray pattern etc.

Sorry... Drunk during lunch...

Comment was made because you're planning on painting your DC the same color as I have planned... Same intentions on the front end, as well. Hope it turns out the way you plan... I am.

You don't need a gallon bro unless you're going all out, meaning engine bay,and whole inside of the interior .If not 3 quarts and you're good.
